If you happen to be located in the NYC area, or you have access to a local library, you can search BobCat, the NYSID Library's catalog, to identify and locate traditional books on your research topics.
You can search for books in BobCat, the NYSID Library catalog. You will also be able to search for books that might be at NYU, Cooper Union, or the New School (including the former Gimbel Library at Parsons).
When searching for plans, add the word as a search term. The search could be constructed like this:

You can also use the terms "drawing, elevations, or sections" to find architectural plans. If you are googling, it's a great idea to use these terms too.
Make sure to also search by the architect's name to see if the house is included in a book or set of books. The table of contents or index of the book can help you determine if there is information there for you.
BobCat is the union catalog of the libraries of NYSID, NYU, the New School (including the former Gimbel Library at Parsons), and Cooper Union. ***Remember that books for all lending institutions can be returned to NYSID Library.
