NYU Consortium of Libraries

NYSID Library is a member of the NYU Consortium of Libraries.  Using their NYSID ID cards, NYSID students and faculty may visit the following libraries in the consortium, browse their collections, and check out books: (At their circulation desks, you may request a guest login to their networks for onsite access to their electronic resources using your own mobile devices.)

  • Bobst Library: Located at NYU's Washington Square Campus, Bobst library is NYU's main research library. It houses extensive collections in a wide range of subjects.
  • The New School University Center Library: Situated within the University Center building at East 14th Street and 5th Avenue, this library offers a diverse collection of resources focused on art, design, and fashion. Its collection includes the former library of the Parsons School of Design.
  • Cooper Union Library: Located in the East Village, this library provides resources and services to support programs in art, architecture, and engineering.

Students who borrow books from NYU, The New School, and Cooper Union are subject to the borrowing policies, fines, and charges of those institutions. If you wish to access a library in the NYU Consortium, please send an email so that we may facilitate your visit.

 

METRO (Metropolitan New York Library Council)

The NYSID Library is a member of the METRO library consortium that will allow students access to over 250 libraries in the City with a METRO pass, available at the NYSID Library circulation desk at the discretion of a librarian.
