Residential Design III: Cultural Research: Cultural Research - Architecture and Design

Books at NYSID

The NYSID Library collection focuses on books on interior design, architecture, and the decorative and fine arts. When starting to do research about the architecture and design typical of a certain country, the NYSID LIbrary collection is a great place to go.   Also know that the collection features books on Landscape Design.

You can search for books in Bobcat, the NYSID Library catalog. You will also be able to search for books that might be at NYU, Cooper Union or the New School.  Use a variety of keywords when searching, for instance, "Mexico", "Mexico landscape", or "Mexico interiors".

An example search and results list obtained when simply searching for the country name "Mexico" is below.  When looking at the results, Available means the book is on the shelf, Check Availability may already be checked out.  Make sure you're looking at the item that says "New York School of Interior Design Library".  The Call No. for the book is located within the parenthesis.
