News & Updates

  • As you begin to prepare for the Fall 2025 semester, your NYSID librarians recommend checking our e-book databases for access to some of your course textbooks that are available online. Ebook Central and Bloomsbury/Fairchild are your go-to databases to find many e-books from your Course Textbook List.
  • SASS (Student Academic Support Services) and the Library will continue to co-host weekly events in the library for the Fall 2025 semester. Events will include coffee, snacks, social activities, Dialogue on Design screenings, learning sessions, crafts, and puzzles!  Look out for our email announcements, social media posts, and promotional leaflets posted on campus.
  • Our NYSID librarians are now onsite two days a week at the Graduate Center! The librarians will be at the NYSID Graduate Center Tuesdays from 2PM-5PM and Thursdays from 12PM-3PM.
  • Join us for an in-person informational instruction session in the Library to learn about what the Library and the Writing Center has to offer you! Learn the essentials about how to search the library's collections and get research help, as well as how the Writing Center can help you complete your writing assignments, and how to make an appointment with a tutor. Sign up today!

Join us this Fall in the library, every Tuesday at 1pm for events ranging from coffee & doughnuts to puzzles, crafts and learning sessions!

Come to the NYSID Library for an informational session to learn about what the Library and the Writing Center has to offer you! Learn the essentials about how to search the library's collections and get research help, as well as how the Writing Center can help you complete your writing assignments, and how to make an appointment with a tutor.

Find digital versions of course textbooks on Ebook Central

Ebook Central is home to a digital collection of textbooks curated by NYSID Librarians, focusing heavily on architecture and design. On Ebook Central you will find digital versions of required textbooks for your some of your NYSID courses.

Bloomsbury Fairchild Interior Design Library

The Bloomsbury Fairchild Interior Design Library contains over 70 e-books completely dedicated to interior design!

A&A ePortal

Supported by Yale University, the A&A ePortal is an e-book resource that features important works of scholarship in the history of art, architecture, decorative arts, photography, and design, with over 300 texts available digitally.

ASID Contracts

ASID Contracts are housed on NYSID's Portal and can be accessed using your NYSID log in.
