News & Updates

  • As you begin to prepare for the Spring 2025 semester, your NYSID librarians recommend checking our e-book databases for access to some of your course textbooks that are available online. Ebook Central and Bloomsbury/Fairchild are your go-to databases to find many e-books from your Course Textbook List.
  • SASS (Student Academic Support Services) will continue their weekly events in the library with coffee, treats, and a variety of social activities, such as board games, puzzles, and crafts in the Spring Semester. Watch out for the email announcements and promotional leaflets posted on the campus! 
  • The new library book display is up in the library. Please come to the library and check it out!

Mario Buatta Interview: Watch Party

Join us in the Library tomorrow, Wednesday, February 19th at 2pm for a viewing of a 1981 interview with Mario Buatta, "Interior Design: The New Freedom".  We will also have a number of books and informational material out on display to peruse!  

Feel free to drop by for a coffee and stay to learn more about the legendary designer and namesake of our 70th street Materials Atelier!

Wednesday Events in the Library

Beginning September 11th - Join us this Fall 2024 semester in the library, every Wednesday at 2PM, for events ranging from coffee & doughnuts to puzzles, crafts and learning sessions! 

Find digital versions of course textbooks on Ebook Central

Ebook Central is home to a digital collection of textbooks curated by NYSID Librarians, focusing heavily on architecture and design. On Ebook Central you will find digital versions of required textbooks for your some of your NYSID courses.

Bloomsbury Fairchild Interior Design Library

The Bloomsbury Fairchild Interior Design Library contains over 70 e-books completely dedicated to interior design!

A&A ePortal

Supported by Yale University, the A&A ePortal is an e-book resource that features important works of scholarship in the history of art, architecture, decorative arts, photography, and design, with over 300 texts available digitally.

ASID Contracts

ASID Contracts are housed on NYSID's Portal and can be accessed using your NYSID log in.
